Informal Portrait

Inspired by the explosion of social media photography, I attempted to combine the instant gratification style of modern smartphones with a traditional portrait shoot. I talked with the subject, fellow designer Sophie Loloi, over the course of the shoot about various topics such as life events, artistic practices and personal influences. The portrait shots of her were then combined with still lives of objects relating to those discussions, culminating in the series forming a visual map of the portrait shoot overall.
